Family tree and private family archive
Your family has a history. Bring it together in one place.
A tree from great-grandparents to this year's birthdays, family events, and memories that would otherwise stay in a drawer — written down together by the whole family, with tools that read old documents and help tell the story.
You start for free, with no payment card: up to 20 people in the tree, up to 5 relatives invited to work with you, and AI credits to try things out.
or browse the tree of the kings of Poland without signing in
What an online family tree looks like
An example family's tree — the people and portraits are invented. Everyone has a card, lines run from parents to children, and an opened card shows dates, closest relatives and a photo. Whatever is not yet known is marked as a gap to research rather than hidden.

Every person has a place for:
- photos and videos — including old prints scanned with a phone
- memories recorded by voice and turned into text automatically
- notes, letters, records and documents
- the events they took part in
One click opens the card; a second, the full profile.

A tree that grows with you
Add people, marriages and relationships. See how the branches join — from great-grandparents to the youngest.

Celebrate what brings you together — today
Birthdays, christenings, weddings, reunions. One event, many people, photos from everyone's phones and the stories side by side — and a year later, everything still in its place.

Tell the story before it is lost
Record your grandmother's voice — AI turns the recording into text, reads an old letter or parish record, and helps you shape it all into a story. You check and correct; nothing goes into the archive without your approval. That is how a family history gets written that nobody else could write.

You build it together, near and far
Everyone adds what they remember and what is in their album — from the kitchen table or the other side of the world. You comment on photos and send each other messages. You decide who can view and who can edit.

For family detectives
Feel like a detective? Read the old records
Records from the archives – parish registers, census lists, letters – are often written in Cyrillic, Latin or German, in an old hand hardly anyone can read today. Add a scan, and the AI reads it, translates it and suggests where to look next. This is how you find ancestors nobody in the family remembered any more.

In English
No. 1. Born on the 5th, baptised on the 7th: Aleksey. Parents: Ivan Semyonovich Lebedev, a peasant of the village of Pokrovskoye, and his lawful wife Maria Petrovna. Godparents: titular councillor Pavel Andreyevich Sokolov and the maiden Anna Ivanovna Kuzmina. Baptised by the priest Feodor Petrov.
A clue
The month is not in this entry – it is in the heading on an earlier page of the book. The godfather, a titular councillor, was an official: it is worth finding out what linked him to the family.
An example document generated for this page – the names are invented. The text beside it was read by the same AI model that reads documents in the archive.
Old photographs
Restore old family photos
The AI removes dust, scratches and stains, brings faded tones back and, if you like, adds colour. The restored version sits next to the original, which is never touched.

Free, and only for your family
Anyone can start a tree for their family – free, and without a payment card. This is not a social network: only the people you share them with can see your tree, photos and memories.

Common questions
Where do I start a family tree?
With yourself, your parents and your grandparents: the names, dates and places you remember. Then ask the oldest relatives and add the photos from the drawer. What is not yet known stays marked as a place to research – the records and archives come later.
Do I need a program to make a family tree?
No. Rodzinka runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install: you build your family tree online on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Is Rodzinka free?
Yes. You start a tree free of charge and without a payment card: up to 20 people in the tree, up to 5 relatives invited to work with you, and room for photos, recordings and documents. Other relatives can answer from a link, without an account. You also get AI credits to start with, to try photo restoration and document reading.
Who can see our tree, photos and memories?
Only the people you add to your family yourselves. Rodzinka is not a social network: we do not join your tree to strangers' trees, we do not show it in search engines and we do not sell data. You assign the roles: who views and who edits. You can also show an album to somebody without an account: you create a viewing link yourselves and can revoke it at any time.
Can we build the family tree together with our family?
Yes, that is what Rodzinka is for. You invite relatives with a named invitation, everyone adds what they remember and what they have in their album, and relatives without an account can answer a question from a link.
How do I add old photos and documents?
Scan them with a phone or a scanner and add them to an album or to a person's card. A faded or scratched photo can be restored by AI – the restored version is saved beside the original, which stays untouched.
Can AI read a record written in Cyrillic, Latin or German?
Yes. Add a scan of a birth, marriage or death record, and the AI reads the text, translates it into English and suggests what follows from it. The reading is a lead, not proof: you check it yourselves, and only what you approve goes into the archive.
How do I keep a grandmother's or grandfather's memories?
Record the conversation in Rodzinka: the AI writes the recording down and helps turn it into a story, and the recording stays with the person and the photo it is about. You check and correct it; nothing goes into the archive without your consent. That is how a family chronicle grows, with relatives adding their own memories.
Can the family tree be printed?
Yes. One button saves the tree as a picture. AI can also paint a family poster to download as a PDF, which works well for a family reunion or as a gift for a grandmother. The poster uses AI credits.
Does Rodzinka work on a phone?
Yes: in the browser on a phone, a tablet and a computer, with no app to install from a store. You add photos straight from your phone, and the family's dates can be in your phone's calendar.
