Short videos, each showing one thing step by step.

First steps

Rodzinka is an online family tree program the whole family works on together. This is how most families begin:

  1. Start with yourself Add yourself, your parents and your grandparents: the first name, surname, dates and places you know. Each person gets a card of their own, and the lines run from parents to children. Watch the video: how to do it
  2. Add the photos from the drawer Scan the old prints with your phone and add them to an album or to a person's card. A faded photo can be restored by AI; the original stays untouched. Watch the video: how to do it
  3. Invite your relatives Everyone adds what they remember and what they have in their album. You decide who views and who edits. Watch the video: how to do it
  4. Record a memory A conversation with a grandmother or grandfather about a photo becomes a written story that stays with the person and the photo. Watch the video: how to do it
  5. Reach for records and archives Birth, marriage and death records, often written in Cyrillic, Latin or German, are read and translated by AI; the gaps in the tree suggest what to look for. Watch the video: how to do it

Albums

Open Albums from the menu to collect photos, add captions and show a slideshow, including on a TV. The owner, or a person who helps manage the family, can create a view-only link for people without an account.
